Mark Aspaas, AIA
Principal Architect and Vice President
Mark Aspaas designs projects that are both considerate and well designed, using an abundance of creativity to meet the project requirements. His energetic approach to architecture carries throughout the project and is evident in the final product that is created.
Since joining the firm in 1977, Mark has directed projects of every scale and discipline, including the Al Neuharth Media Center at the University of South Dakota, the Minnehaha County Courthouse, the renovation of Old Main at USD, the Lincoln County Courthouse administration addition, the Yankton County Public Safety Center, and the First Lutheran Church addition and remodel. His responsibilities include the promotion and marketing of the firm, along with design quality control. Mark is actively involved in the process of design, production and project follow-up.
Mark was appointed by the Governor to the State Board of Technical Professions in 1993 and served in that capacity for 12 years. He currently serves as the National Treasurer for the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards.
