USF Bill & Marian Sullivan Faith & Living Center

Architecture Incorporated completed an exciting student residence facility for the University of Sioux Falls. Key elements include neon crosses atop copper-clad tower at the east and west vestibules; a pitched roof that complements the residential neighborhood; exterior finishes that are a custom blend of split-face concrete masonry veneer reminiscent of the quartzite on the adjacent Pierce Hall; and an exterior insulation and finish system that matches adjacent Stewart Center.

There is housing for 200 students and each floor houses four communities. The communities are specifically designed to encourage exploration of faith. Instead of small student rooms typical of dormitories, these student rooms are large.  With 10-foot-high ceilings and loftable furniture, students customize their rooms to suit their needs.  For convenience, each student room has its own lavatory. Two student rooms share one private bathroom.
