In celebration of our firm's 50th anniversary this year, Architecture Incorporated is proud to donate a total of $50,000 to local organizations. Giving back to the communities we serve has always been an important part of who we are, and we're honored to support the people, places, and programs that make our communities stronger. Here are the remaining recipients.
Architecture Incorporated 2026 Donation to The Journey Museum in Rapid City, SD
The Journey Museum of Rapid City
Another recipient from our 50th anniversary giving initiative is The Journey Museum in Rapid City, SD!
The museum explores nearly two billion years of history across the Black Hills and prairies of Western South Dakota. Dedicated to preserving and bringing the region's past to life, the museum showcases a wide range of stories and heritage through artifacts, exhibits, and interactive experiences.
Our donation will support the museum's first Lakota ethnobotanical garden, Lakota Landscapes. The garden and accompanying field guide will highlight the plant knowledge of the Lakota people and its connection to their culture. The project is rooted in the lifelong ethnobotanical work of Oglala Sioux Tribe member Richard T. Sherman's and will include educational programs for all ages.
The project is expected to be completed in September.
Architecture Incorporated 2026 Donation to Midwest Street Medicine
Additionally, as part of our 50th anniversary giving initiative, we're proud to support the Midwest Street Medicine with a $5,000 donation.
Board members Paul Beninga and Tom Stritecky stopped by our office to share more about the incredible work this organization is doing to support individuals experiencing homeless in our community. Their multi-disciplinary team of volunteers brings together diverse educational backgrounds, life experiences, and professional connections to build trusting relationships over time. Through these relationships, they provide treatment, assistance, and advocacy for individuals' physical, behavioral, emotional, and social needs.

Architecture Incorporated 2026 donation to Sertoma Park
Our final recipient from our 50th anniversary giving initiative is to the Sioux Falls Noon Sertoma Club.
Since 1929, this organization has worked to improve the quality of life for residents with hearing loss and support local youth through volunteer service and community projects.
Our donation will go towards their Sertoma Park Project, where they are re-imagining the park as a vibrant, inclusive destination where people of all ages and abilities can experience the joy of play together. This new playground will feature accessible equipment, sensory-rich play experiences, safe and welcoming spaces, and thoughtful design that ensures no one is left out.
Fun Fact: Steve Jastram designed the original Sertoma Park Shelter and Pods back in 1993.
