Michael Williams

Michael Williams, Assoc. AIA, joined Architecture Incorporated in September 2025. Prior to this he worked on a variety of industrial, commercial, healthcare, veterinarian, and restaurant projects in numerous locations throughout the Pacific Northwest and across the country. Michael’s emphasis is on the process of conceptual design, design development, and tenant improvement projects. He enjoys all aspects of the design and construction process and also has experience as a project manager.

He graduated with a Master of Architecture from Montana State University in 2011 with a focus on design and sustainable practices along with a pragmatic approach to architecture. Michael’s emphasis is on creating high-quality design & construction drawings under tight project schedules, and assisting with managing projects. He is currently working towards licensure and continuing to hone his craft as an architect.

Michael was born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He began flying airplanes before receiving his Private Pilot Certificate and spent many years following this as an aerial photographer and in the aviation field. Eventually he moved to Montana to seek a degree in Architecture, and this is where he met his wife before relocating to Portland, OR, in 2012, and now finally back to Rapid City, SD, to be nearer to family and nature. To Michael, life is an adventure; he enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, gardening & landscaping, as well as sketching and working on his record collection.
