SANFORD VERMILLION MEDICAL CENTER ADDITION
The Sanford Vermillion Medical Center was a multi-phased project that kept the hospital running during construction. The first phase involved a new, improved Emergency Department with a drive-through ambulance garage. A new waiting area and updated treatment rooms and support facilities were also a part of the project. This phase also involves the addition of a new Pharmacy and Laundry area to the facility on the east side. These facilities will free up space in the main hospital for phase two development. Phase two involves the demolition of the original hospital structure and the addition, in its place, of a new Rehab/Occupational Therapy - Physical Therapy addition. The main entrance, the Imaging, service and delivery, clinic and other related departments are also involved in the phase two development. The new entrance to the facility carries the “Sanford Look” with the tower element announcing the entrance.
